The Illinois Library Association is a professional membership organization that represents Illinois libraries and the millions who depend on them. Founded in 1896, it is the third largest state library association and a chapter of the American Library Association. ILA connects library professionals and supporters to each other and the important issues facing libraries today. From trends and innovation to advocacy and education, ILA is the place to strengthen your skills and deepen your knowledge.
The ILA Connecter is a collaborative effort in connecting, communicating and engaging across Illinois libraries. The purpose of the ILA Connecter is to serve as a medium to not only offer resources and support, but also to foster professional relationships and a sense of community among Illinois library colleagues.
